How to Make Your Favorite Holiday Coffee Drinks


Gingerbread Latte


Ingredients:
2 fluid ounces espresso
2 tablespoons gingerbread flavored syrup
½ cup steamed milk
1 pinch ground nutmeg
1 pinch ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla powder

Directions:
1. Combine espresso with gingerbread syrup in a mug.
2. Add steamed milk.
3. Top with whipped cream.
4. Sprinkle with nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla powder.

Peppermint Mocha

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons powdered baking cocoa
3 tablespoons warm water
1 ½ tablespoons peppermint syrup or 1 ½ tablespoons crème de menthe (I usually use DaVinci Gourmet)
4 ounces espresso
12 ounces steamed milk
whipped cream
red sugar crystals

Directions:
1. Combine the baking cocoa and the warm water to form a rich syrup.
2. Pour combination into a 16-ounce mug.
3. Add espresso.
4. Add peppermint syrup.
5. Add steamed milk.
6. Top with whipped cream and sugar crystals.

Eggnog Coffee

Ingredients:
¼ cup and 2 tablespoons coffee ice cream
¼ cup and 2 tablespoons eggnog
¼ cup hot, strongly brewed coffee
1 tablespoon frozen whipped topping (thawed)
1 pinch ground nutmeg

Directions:
1. Scoop the ice cream into a pan over low heat.
2. Stir in the coffee and eggnog.
3. Heat until warm. This usually takes about 3 minutes.
4. Pour mixture into a mug.
5. Top with whipped topping.
6. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

*These recipes all yield one serving.
